Hugh Lee was born Christopher Deon Huley on October 19, 1992 in Chicago and was raised on the West Side of the city. He decided to pursue music while a student at Indiana State University.  In 2019, he partnered with special olympics and fighting for autism to give a percentage of all merchandising sales and stream profits to those affected by autism.

In 2015, he self-released his first mixtape, FRESHHEIR. Later that year, he went on to tour around the country for the official FRESHHEIR Tour.

In July 2017 Huley announced the title of his debut EP, TV's Foster Child. The EP was released on July 7, 2017.

In April 2019, Hugh released his first single from his debut album, "CABRINI.". He performed at SXSW with FutureMigos and Molly Brazy, at the My Mixtapezstage in Austin Texas which ended in a shootout. . Hugh continued to tour from April until October at which point he released the CABRINI album. He has yet to release any music videos from the project except for the single "Sawbuck.". Hugh Lee is currently in the process of recording the CABRINI music video.

Hugh Lee worked as a DP for NBC's American Ninja Warrior for 2 seasons earning 2 EMMYs nominations for the corresponding episodes and seasons. He also worked on several music videos for artists such as Gunna, Dave East, Young Thug, Childish Gambino and more.
